Objective

After completing this course, you will be able to answer most questions that arise when using OJS. Occasionally, though, a problem may develop that you are unable to resolve yourself. In this unit, you will learn where to go for extra help.

Readings

Review the OJS Documentation page. Don’t worry about reading everything now, but you will get a better understanding of how much documentation is available to help you learn to use OJS.

Activity

Visit our free, online support forum. Take a look at some of the questions and answers. This will give you a good sense of how the community interacts with the development team, and with one another.

Final Quiz

Start the quiz!

Review Activity

Your editor would like you to create a page of links in OJS. To do this, use the Static Page plugin. Add a few links to the new page.

Once, you’ve created the new page, link it from the journal’s navigation bar.

Evaluation

You’ve made it through all of the units — well done! Based on your experience working through the course, are there any final comments you’d like to make that could help improve it?

Thanks for a well laid out course. I found the videos particularly useful, as I was able to work in my installation while listening to the video. The resource links to actual sites brought the lessons to life — more of these would be a useful addition.

  3. So straightforward and helpful. Thank you!

  4. I loved the course. Thank you very much and congratulations.

  5. This course is really good and with a little bit of experience you’ll become in a real Journal Manager.
    My suggestions:
    – Updated the videos because some shows an old version of OJS.
    – In each module it should have TIPS, something to help with not common problems

    Thanks !!!

  6. I liked the course because each module is clear and easy, the forum support provide a lot of information for problems and the study shape is simple.

Probably this is not the best place to insert a question, but when submiting an article, I’d like to know how to insert one main Author and something like “et alii” meaning that there are others authors.

    thanks for this great software

      Hi Lucianno,

When you make the submission, you will need to add the full names for all of the authors. Unfortunately, there is no way to add “et alii”.
