Module 2: Ethics

Summary

Both performing and reporting research must be undertaken ethically. Authors have a duty to behave honestly whenever they publish. There are several ethical issues which authors must be aware of, and must ensure that they avoid. This module considers the most common types of ethical problems, and explains why certain behaviours are considered to be unacceptable in international scholarly publishing.
