We’re pleased to share our first new OJS 3 course on PKP School! Setting up a Journal on OJS 3 is a self-paced course that will walk you through all of the steps to configure your new journal using the new version of Open Journal Systems. Our special thanks to Janna MacLaren for creating all of the videos used in this course!

A second course on using the new OJS 3 editorial workflow is in progress and will be available early in 2018.

PKP has released new versions of Open Monograph Press and OJS, and we are working on new courses for both. We are also continuing to work on a library publishing course — stay tuned!

I’m still adding activities and quizzes for the OJS for Editors course, but all of the videos have now been loaded. This is the first time we’ve had a complete set of videos tracking the entire OJS editorial workflow, so hopefully they will be useful. Feedback is welcome, as we do hope to make them better with each new version of OJS.

I’m pleased to report that we’ve now copied the content for OJS for Journal Managers over from the old site. I’m still working out some bugs with the quizzes, but otherwise it is ready to use.

OK, we’ve got the new PKPSchool web site up and running (as you can see). It is still built on WordPress and uses the Buddypress plugin for user accounts and additional functionality. The biggest change is that we are also using the LearnDash plugin for course management. I’m looking forward to working with the new system. Thanks Chris for the great job of matching the CSS to the new PKP web site!
